“Offer the opportunity to young people to have at least one practical entrepreneurial experience before leaving compulsory education, such as running a mini-company, being responsible for an entrepreneurial project for a company or a social project”.

European Commission, Entrepreneurship 2020

The Innovation Cluster for Entrepreneurship Education (ICEE) is a 3 year project (February 1, 2014 - 31 January 2018) co-funded by the European Commission under Erasmus + programme.

It aims to analyse the impact of entrepreneurship education and understand what is needed to reach the European goal, which is that every young person should have a practical entrepreneurial experience before leaving compulsory education.

The consortium will test what the scenario looks like at 50% penetration among students between 15 and 20 years old and carry out 27-month field trial using mini-companies in twenty academic and vocational schools across the five countries (Belgium, Finland, Italy, Estonia, and Latvia).

By using quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, a team of researchers led by Eastern Norway Research Institute will analyse the learning outcomes among participating students, the role of the teacher and of the school, and the effects on the community and the wider society.
